| Report: | A very tough introduction to the league for PL1.
Danyal V Sima
Danyals first competitive match was not an easy one as Sima controlled the rallies with some nice volly drops and good lengths. Dangerous Dan used his reach to good effect trying to surprise Sima but proved not enough as Sima ran out a 3-0 winner.
Abhay V Josh
Another first match for PL1 as Anhay stepped up against a nice young county player in Josh. Great movement and retrivial from Josh and better shot choice proved the key difference. 3-0 Josh
Nick V Jack
Giant Jack came up against a hard worker in Nick 'the nick' Zamar. Nick chased around court in his usual manner and looked like the first could go either way before Jack stepped up and won 11-8. A convincing 2nd from Jack led to a close third, Nick trying to chase a lead he gave to Jack, but couldn't quite catch him as Jack scrapped through 11-9 to wrap up the match.
Mikey V Beth
Mikey, definitely one for the future, came up against Beth, Beth who had no problem throwing herself around the court to make no easy points for Mikey. Maybe better shot selection needed for Mikey as experienced Beth dominated the T and made Mikey work hard for most points. A good match at a ferocious pace ended with a 3-0 win for Beth.
A hard day in the office for the team, but with a few other players waiting to play for the 1st team, the next match could be totally different. |
